What's ?

Andy no longer has the 25t. We've finally managed to get her the R34 she's wanted since before she got the R33, and she is very very happy with it. As I mentioned on the front page, it's stock as a rock(et), but still goes very very well. 8) Click here for a few pics.

I've got myself a pair of R32 GTR front seats, which make an unbelievable difference. There's more headroom, and they are so much more supportive and comfortable. Ooh they're lovely. 8) I've also got a set of 17x8 Avanti Tempests in Shado-Chrome, with 235/45 Toyo T1s Proxes, which makes a vast improvment over the standard wheels and tyres. Click here for pics of the Great Silver Whale, including the new wheels and seats.

What's old?

We no longer have an FTO! As I mentioned on the front page, Andrea now has a Whale instead. We were at a Skylines Downunder picnic, and there was a beautiful dark-coloured 25t coupe for sale. I was most surprised to see how much Andrea liked it - I thought she'd find a whale too big. But she loved it, we took it for a drive, and we bought it. The guy had been trying to sell it for ages, and the price just kept dropping, so we ended up getting it for a really good price.

Andrea and I went for a trip up North for my birthday in 2001. We stayed in a lovely place called the Pacific Rendezvous, in Tutukaka. This was what we saw as we drove in, and this was the sunrise we saw out of the bedroom window. This was the first major stretching of the legs for the 25t since the repairs, and Harvey had given her the all-clear the day before we left, so it was an "enjoyable" trip. 8)

I have my 25t! It was quite a saga in the end, but now I have her and she's beautiful. Click here to read the whole sorry story of what I initially thought would be a simple purchase (I even got the damn thing AA checked - first time we ever did that to a car we were buying.

Well... much to the disgust of my parents, I have been seduced by the dark side of the force; cars, to be exact. I was never into cars as anything other than a means of transportation (though I did love my old Pulsar) until I got my Skyline (in September 1998). Being the first 2 litre car I had driven, as well as the first RWD, it was a totally new experience, and one I loved. I then started to develop a fascination for my Skyline, then all Skylines, and then cars in general except for big crappy pushrodasaurus V8s, and anything resembling an Urban Assault Vehicle (other than a Humvee of course; they rule!!) My wife then decided she wanted a sports car to replace her Mazda Familia hatchback (and fair enough too). She was tossing up between a Toyota Celica (the one just before the current dog's breakfast), or a Mitsubishi FTO. Thankfully, we decided the FTO was much cooler, because now we have a damn fine sports car sitting in the garage.

Over the time I've had my Skylines, I've managed to acquire a bit more knowledge about how the whole thing works, and I'll seek to put that down in my "techy" page. I've also developed a taste for boost, resulting my purchase of the GTS25t
